Libya Business Visa
Business visitors can enter Libya with this visa for any business-related pursuit. The visa allows you to attend meetings, honor invitations, pursue business opportunities, and more. Business visas are largely for short-term visits, so you are required to leave the country in or before your visa expires. A business visa is not a work visa and doesn't qualify you for employment in Libya.
Applicants must clearly explain the purpose of their visit and provide information to that effect. If they are coming at the behest of a host, there must be a letter of Invitation containing the host's personal information and the duration of their stay.
Port of Entry
Airports: Mitiga International Airport – Sebha International Airport – Benina International Airport.
Borders Crossing: All borders are closed
Seaports: Port of Tobruk – Port of Benghazi – Port of Derna – Port of Al-Braiga – Port of Tripoli – Port of Khoms – Port of Misratah.
Visa For a Non-Libyan Spouse
If you are married to a non-Libyan, you can get a temporary or permanent visa for your upcoming visits to Libya. While Libyan spouses only need a valid passport to visit the country, noncitizens can only visit without visas if they are from visa-exempt countries.
The Libyan authorities will request a valid passport and a completed application form. The spouse in Libya may be a citizen or permanent resident, but they must provide an invitation letter containing sufficient information about themselves.
This visa varies depending on the applicant, and there isn't a fixed validity period. Holders of long-stay visas, like permanent or temporary visas, may stay with their spouse for up to a year or more, while short-term visitors can only stay for a few months. If their spouse is the sponsor, they will be responsible for their accommodation and upkeep during their visit.

However, they must come through approved air and sea routes as the borders with Algeria, Sudan, Niger, and Chad have been closed since the crisis broke out. While the borders are officially closed, they are controlled by local Toubou and Tuareg tribes, who decide who can enter and exit through points under their influence.

Travel Information and Tips For Libya Visitors
The situation in Libya remains volatile, and most national governments advise their citizens against traveling to the country. However, if you must go, take the time to read out essential tips.
Safety Tips
Widespread fighting remains the order in Libya as different warlord factions continue to engage in bloody duels to take over the country. Different groups control different regions today. This means that no single political entity controls the entire country. The security situation remains unstable, and there are frequent cases of terrorist attacks, kidnapping, and rampant crime. Avoid traveling to Libya but if you must, monitor the situation through the media and seek professional advice from security experts. If you visit, speedily conclude your activity and return to your country as soon as possible.
Avoid The Borders
The surrounding borders with Chad, Algeria, Sudan, and Niger are very dangerous locations because rebel groups control them. Kidnapping for ransom is very high in these areas. Never travel through any of these land borders for your safety.
Weather
Libya experiences harsh weather for most part of the year due to its location in Northern Africa. Factor in the weather when planning your itinerary and wardrobe for the trip.
Health Tips
Infectious diseases are rife in the area, and they include Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, Cholera, Measles, Plague, and Typhoid. Only consume bottled water and don't swim in freshwater areas. Consult your doctor to know if you should take any vaccines to protect your health and boost immunity. Also, note that medical facilities are limited, and some have a short supply of medicines, so carry some of your medication, especially if you have a pre-existing condition. Also, travel with active medical insurance should you fall sick and require immediate evacuation. Mae sure your insurance covers all your needs.
Local Laws
There has yet to be an established law in Libya since the country's collapse, and there is no police presence in many areas. Laws are created by the warlords in the domains they control. Penalties for crimes and minor offenses are severe, and death or life sentences are common. Officials are known to seize foreigners' passports indiscriminately if they are involved in a dispute with another party, and the passport will not be released until the dispute is resolved. Illegal activities are rife in Libya, so be careful with who you deal with.
Banned Activity
Same-sex relationship is banned in most parts of Libya, and so is sex outside marriage. Same-sex relationships attract long jail terms. Alcohol consumption is also banned and attracts punishment. A child born to a Libyan father automatically becomes a Libyan, and they require their father's permission they must leave the country.
Financial sufficiency
Ensure you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses and increase your budget by up to 30%, as the basic items are quite expensive. If possible, book your return ticket before your trip to save cost. It is better to hold some of your money in cash as there are fewer banks and ATMs in the cities. Banking services are almost nonexistent in the interiors.
Passport
Make sure your passport will cover your stay in the country. Traveling through Libya with an expired passport is a crime.
